Input rules can vary from university to university; please check for instructions in materials such as the application guide and announcements from the university you are applying to.
Please check that there are no input errors as below:
(1) Incorrect telephone number
Some universities request a specific type or format of telephone number. Please check the university’s application guide and announcements carefully. If the university has not provided any specifications, check once more that the number you have entered is identical to the one you used in your application.
(2) Input error
- Check that there are no discrepancies in the way you have separated your family name and given name(s). Be sure to follow any directions the university has provided regarding how to separate your family name and given name(s) and/or how to enter your middle name.
- Ensure your date of birth is entered in the eight-digit year-month-date format. (For example, if your date of birth is January 3, 2006, enter 20060103.)
- Check that you have indicated the correct application format (online application / paper-based application).
*The university may have provided directions on which of these options to select, so please be sure to check the information you have received from the university.
(3) Incorrect application number (candidate number)
To confirm your application number (candidate number), please refer to the university’s application guide and contact the university directly. If the university has provided specific directions on how to enter your application number (candidate number), please follow these directions carefully.
If you continue to receive an application linking error even after checking the items above:
The error may be attributable to one of the following reasons.
i. Your application was submitted through UCARO.
In this case your application data is automatically linked within UCARO, so there is no need to follow the application linking process.
After submitting your application, log in to UCARO, and you will find the application listed under “Application List”.
ii. The university does not use UCARO for the entrance exam system you applied to.
UCARO might not handle the entrance exam system of the university you applied to. For details, please refer to the university’s admissions information website or application guide.
iii. Application linking is not accepted currently.
The university may not be accepting requests for application linking right now.
Please refer to the university’s application guide or guide to enrollment procedures to confirm the application linking period.
iv. There is an error in your internet environment.
Please try the following
- Clear the cache on your browser (the procedure for clearing cache varies depending on your device and browser)
- Try a different device
- Use a different browser to access the site
